Elisabeth Terland scored deep into added time to give Albion a precious WSL win over Bristol City.

Her second goal of the game secured a 3-2 success and opened a six-point lead over bottom-placed City.

Albion move up to eighth in the table while Terland now has nine league goals this season.

Her first was a solo effort as she won the ball, turned and drilled a low shot inside the post from outside the box.

Terland also provided the pass for Katie Robinson to roll home a precise shot almost immediately after City had equalised through Abi Harrison.

A second City leveller by Carrie Jones appeared to have denied the Seagulls full points.

Then Veatriki Sarri did well to create room and cross from near the corner flag on the left.

Lee Guem-min got a touch, Jamie-Lee Napier failed to clear and Terland crashed home a shot via the underside of the bar.

Albion boss Melissa Phillips said: “It was a bit more dramatic than we would have liked at the end.

“We were in control and created some really good opportunities particularly early in the game."
