Mentality will be key for Albion youngsters when they face a major cup test.
That is the message from first team boss Roberto De Zerbi ahead of the Bristol Street Motors EFL Trophy last eight.
Albion under-21s go to Wycombe Wanderers, who are currently 19th in League One, on Wednesday (7pm).
The 21s’ coaching staff were present on Saturday when Wycombe fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Fleetwood.
Their squad selection will hinge partly on which players are involved with the senior side at Luton.
De Zerbi is a big admirer of the work Shannon Ruth is doing with the youngsters.
Asked his hopes for the 21s at Wycombe, De Zerbi said: “To play with the right mentality because it’s an important game for them and they are playing well.
“I hope they play well and that they can enjoy the game and they can win.
Albion are keen for fans to travel to the tie at Adams Park.
