Albion are hoping they have not suffered another injury setback – or two.
But Roberto De Zerbi said Joao Pedro had himself to blame after limping off.
The forward picked up a knock as he tried to win the ball back late in the 4-0 defeat at Luton.
De Zerbi said: “You can explain the game from Joao Pedro’s injury.
“His injury, it was frustration and we have to be able to accept the defeat and to be able to lose the game with dignity.
“It is too early to speak but we hope it is not a bad injury because we need him.
“We are playing 14, 15 players. Enough to play better, enough to make a point.”
James Milner went off in the first half with a thigh injury.
