Joao Pedro will miss Albion’s game at Tottenham.

The forward has suffered a hamstring injury and has undergone a scan.

He will be examined again in the coming week and it is unclear for how long he will be missing.

Stand-in head coach Andrea Maldera said: "Probably he has a problem. We don’t know how many weeks but we don’t want to take a risk and sure he can’t play tomorrow.

"The other players are ready. They worked very well and we are ready to play.

"Yes, Joao is very important for us but Ansu Fati is able to play, is ready, Evan Ferguson, Danny Welbeck, we have a lot of strikers.

"Adam Lallana - why not?

"We don’t want to take a risk and the other players are available.

"But I don’t know which is the first XI."

Kauro Mitoma is available after returning from the Asian Cup but a decision has not yet been made on what part he will play at Tottenham.

Maldera said: "He worked well but he travelled a lot. I think we make a decision this evening or tomorrow morning.

"He is for sure in the squad."

Maldera will discuss selection with head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who has been having dental treatment.
