Ansu Fati is raring to go - but Albion will choose their moment at Tottenham.

The on-loan Barcelona man is working well in training after a two-month absence and eager to add to the few minutes he enjoyed against Crystal Palace.

Kaoru Mitoma and Joel Veltman are also available but Joao Pedro misses out with a hamstring injury amid concern he faces a longer lay-off.

Stand-in Seagulls boss Andrea Maldera said: “Ansu is in a good moment.

“We think he is very close to starting in the first XI.

“He worked with us these two weeks and probably I think (today) he starts on the bench but he is ready to play.

“We are very happy. He doesn’t have a problem in his leg.

“He wants to play, he is looking forward to playing.

“He has a big energy and for us he is a very important player because his quality is very important.

“In the first part of the season, you will remember in the Europa League he scored goals and he is very important for us.”

Joao Pedro is set for a second scan.

Maldera said: “We don’t know how many weeks but we don’t want to take a risk.”
