Julio Enciso is closing on a return to action.
Albion believe he is a maximum of two weeks away if all continues to go well.
That could tee him up for a return trip to Wolves, scene of his last appearance for the Seagulls before knee surgery.
Albion go to Molineux in the FA Cup on February 28.
Stand-in boss Andrea Maldera said: “Julio started this week as part of the team.
“He doesn’t do all training sessions but he started the first part with the team.
“To see Julio with the team is very good news for us. We are very happy for him.
“And we hope two weeks maximum, ten days, he can be ready.
“If he continues improving in the training sessions, we hope he can be ready.”
