Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou says he is disappointed not to go head-to-head with Roberto De Zerbi.
The Albion head coach is banned from the game at Tottenham.
It is unclear whether he will even be at the stadium as he recovers from invasive dental surgery.
Stand-in Andrea Maldera made it clear the Albion staff are on a similar wavelength to their Tottenham counterparts when it comes to attacking football.
Postecoglou said: “It’s disappointing that Roberto won’t be there because I’ve got a lot of time for him and a great respect for him.
“It’s the existence we have as managers these days. I think I’m one card away from sitting in the stands, so I shouldn’t cast judgement on others.
“So disappointed he won’t be on the touchline but hopefully I’ll get to say hello to him at some point.”
Maldera revealed De Zerbi shares Postecoglou’s disappointment.
He added: “Roberto is not happy! I spoke with him this morning. He is not here physically but he is here with his personality.
“The players have a big responsibility and they know.
“We hope they play also for him.
“We don’t know if he can arrive. He has another visit to the doctor and it depends if he can fly or not.”
