On-loan Albion defender Ed Turns scored his first goal for Crewe – on a great night for the Sussex connection.
Turns struck in an impressive 3-1 win at League Two leaders Stockport County.
His goal followed an opener from Worthing-born Mickey Demetriou.
The Sussex pair had previously helped The Alex beat Crawley 1-0 on Saturday as they push for automatic promotion.
Demetriou forced home the opening goal at Edgeley Park and turned provider three minutes from half-time to cross for Turns to head home.
Turns has made a bright start in Cheshire after switching from Leyton Orient during the January window.
