Pascal Gross did not just break a personal and club goal-making record in the 5-0 win at Sheffield United.

He also cemented his place among the most productive players in the Premier League.

Gross has reached nine league assists in a season for the first time with the Seagulls.

He took his tally of chances created to 67, bettered only by Bruno Fernandes (72).

Gross and Fernandes both average three chances created per 90 minutes, which is the best in the Prem.

The Albion man crossed for Simon Adingra to score at Bramall Lane.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: “Pascal is a top player.

“Pascal is important in terms of performances but mentality as well.

“He is an example during the week.”

Gross’s nine assists are bettered in the Prem only by Kieran Trippier and Ollie Watkins.
