Albion will be patient with Julio Enciso - despite another major injury setback for their squad.

Kaoru Mitoma could miss the rest of the season with a back injury.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi expects to be without his Japan winger for two to three months.

Enciso returned from a long-term knee injury as a substitute against Everton on Saturday.

He looks set to feature in tonight’s FA Cup fifth-round tie at Wolves.

De Zerbi said: “I think he played well (on Saturday).

“He was brisk on the pitch. He is not ready yet to start the game and to play 45 minutes, for example.

“It’s dangerous for him because he has not enough physical condition to play too much time.

“We have to reach the time to stay on the pitch step by step.

“For example, (tonight) I would like to play with Julio for 30 minutes, 35 minutes, not more.”

Benecio Baker-Boaitey and Cam Peupion are in the squad and Ansu Fati might enjoy a chance to play wide were it to come his way.

Enciso's only start this season came at Molineux, where he dazzled in a 4-1 win early in the campaign.

De Zerbi said: “Ansu can play winger, can play No.10, No.9. Julio the same, depending on the game, depending on the moment of the physical condition of Julio, Ansu.

“We have Benecio from the under-21s, we have Cam Peupion from the under-21s and we try to find the best solution for us.”
