Joel Veltman has targeted a big result at the Amex - after quickly switching attention to facing Arsenal tomorrow (5.30pm).
The Albion defender had checked the Gunners’ line-up against Luton on Wednesday night within minutes of his team’s 0-0 draw at Brentford.
Declan Rice, Gabriel Jesus, Jorginho and Jakub Kiwior were all on the bench while Bukayo Saka did not play at all.
Veltman said: “I was looking at the first XI.
“Trossard played, Jesus was on the bench so he will probably play against us.
“Martinelli came on.
“They are such a big team but we know how to get a result against them.
“Especially at home, we need to try to get the three points.
“After the game you look forward to the next game, just some bits.”
There is a feeling within the Seagulls squad it is time to beat one of the Prem giants again.
Veltman was part of a third clean sheet in four matches for the Seagulls, which is an encouraging trend.
Beating Arsenal would be a great way to bounce back from frustration at Brentford.
Veltman said of the Gtech Community Stadium stalemate: “They were more happy with the point than we were were.
“It was more disappointing for us.
“But you have a point, still in the race for a European spot so that’s positive - but if you can have three points here, you would be happier.”
