Roberto De Zerbi says there is no easy answer to the problem of player fatigue and potential injury.
Albion are enjoying a 12-day break between fixtures before going into another busy period.
They have been ravaged by injuries while their next opponents, Manchester City, were recently told by key midfielder Rodri he needed a break.
A packed calendar has been a contributory factor to the long injury list this season.
Asked what the solution could be, Albion boss De Zerbi said: “I don’t know. It’s a long discussion, it’s a big discussion for me.
“I think unfortunately television decide what the teams have to do and how any games in the season teams have to play.
“Maybe who decides has not played football but it’s like this.
“My focus is on my team and how we can reach our target.
“My focus is on my team improving.”
Albion finished the 1-1 draw at Burnley with ten players ruled out – with James Milner, Billy Gilmour and Adam Webster reported to be making progress towards a return.
Potential reasons for the injuries include the schedule after a delayed World Cup, the first taste of intense European club football and the longer matches as officials make greater allowances for in-game stoppages.
