Darren England will referee Albion’s game at Newcastle United.

The Seagulls have been handed their officiating line-ups for the next two fixtures by the Premier League.

England’s video assistant for the St James’s Park clash will be Andy Madley.

It will be the first time England, who comes from Doncaster, has refereed an Albion fixture in the current season.

Roberto De Zerbi’s men last saw him in February last year when they went down 1-0 to Fulham at the Amex.

England has shown four red cards and 133 yellows in 26 games across all competitions this term.

Only one of those reds have come in his 11 Prem games, where he averages less than five yellows per match.

That was a controversial call as he showed Burnley’s Lorenz Assignon a second yellow and awarded Chelsea a penalty in a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge Clarets boss Vincent Kompany was sent off for his furious reaction.

Michael Salisbury will be in the middle when Chelsea visit the Amex next Wednesday for a re-arranged fixture.

That will be quite a quick return to Sussex for Salisbury, who took charge of the Seagulls’ 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in March.

Salisbury showed eight yellow cards that day, including one to Jakub Moder which Forest argued should have been a straight red.

He has refereed 22 games in all competitions this season, showing 71 yellows and three reds.

Peter Bankes will offer him assistance from Stockley Park.

The full officiating teams for the next two fixtures are as follows.
