Sussex are set to face Kent in the boxing ring – to round off a busy season.

The counties lock horns at Portslade Sports Centre in Chalky Road, Mile Oak on Saturday in what is being billed as a culmination of talent, dedication and fierce competition.

Under the expert guidance of coach Bill Davies, Sussex have emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the ring.

The county feel they have left an indelible mark on the boxing scene.

From three representative matches to the electrifying Sussex v Hampshire rematch, the team has showcased not only skill but also an unwavering determination to succeed.

Brighton Ex-Boxers have stepped forward to donate a prestigious cup, destined to find its place in the hands of the standout Sussex boxer.

The hope is for a big turnout of boxing enthusiasts to join in what is sure to be a memorable event.

Doors open at 12.30pm with the action under way at 1pm.

There are likely to be 12 Sussex v Kent bouts plus a further six contests.

All boxers are experienced and have fought before.

Tickets are £15 per person, or £10 for under-16s.
