Sussex are closing in on a Hove sell-out on T20 night.

They are looking forward to a big turnout when Surrey visit the 1st Central County Ground on Saturday (7pm).

Less than 300 tickets remained on Thursday afternoon with a crowd of 4,800 expected.

Sussex went top of the Vitality Blast south group after four rounds of fixtures thanks to their three wins, including an impressive success over Surrey at the Kia Oval.

Somerset have now gone into pole position after they kicked off the fifth round of games by cruising to a nine-wicket success over Middlesex at Lord’s.

Sussex face Essex at Chelmsford tomorrow night while Surrey are at home to Gloucestershire.

Then all eyes will be on Hove for Sussex’s second home game of the campaign.

Early-arriving fans can take advantage of a 25% price reduction on all drinks until 6pm.

There is also a busy day of T20 cricket at Hove on Sunday as Sussex women face both Surrey and Kent, who also play each other.

Admission to the three games is free of charge but tickets must be booked via the club website in advance.

Action gets under way at 10.30am as Sussex play Kent.
