Dario Vidosic believes his Albion side face one of the toughest defensive missions in the women’s game this weekend.
And he is keen to see how they get on.
The Seagulls follow their 4-0 win at home to Everton with a trip to Manchester City on Sunday (12.30pm, BBC2 and iPlayer).
Vidosic was delighted with the opening-day clean sheet, which was only really threatened a couple of times.
Meanwhile City, with an attacking unit which now includes Vivianne Miedema, were drawing 2-2 at Arsenal.
Ahead of his first away game in the WSL, Vidosic said: “I think it was really good.
“We knew the challenge we were going to face against Everton and we know thee challenge we will face on Sunday as well.
“It will be a great test for us, not just as a back four but as a collective, how we can try and nullify one of the best attacking teams not just in England but in the world.”
Albion have had a summer of change but the goalkeeper and defensive line which faced Everton was made up entirely of players who were at the club last season.
They all played the full 90 minutes.
Vidosic said: “Everyone has an opportunity in pre-season. We have had a couple of niggles, a couple of injuries going into round one so we had to lock in a back four we could work with.
“Throughout the pre-season, we were changing it a fair bit.
“We couldn’t get too much continuity just because of, at different times, different niggles or an illness or things of that nature.
“We couldn’t really work with a four, even at training.
“We just tried to work as much as we could, try to get them all that understanding and then locked into it.”
Vidosic reported there had been some illness in the camp during the week but does not see that causing a problem for Sunday’s game.
Nikita Parris and Jelena Cankovic both went on as subs against Everton and could be pushing to start this time while a lot of focus will be on Japan winger Kiko Seike, who scored a hat-trick on her WSL debut.
