Albion could give Aisha Masaka a first chance to shine as they kick off their League Cup campaign.
Dario Vidosic will rotate his squad to a degree as they visit ambitious Championship outfit Birmingham City this evening (7pm).
Masaka signed from Hacken this summer and has a big following I her native Tanzania.
She has not been involved in the first two WSL games but the plan is to give her game time at St Andrew’s.
Jelena Cankovic returns to the squad after illness ruled her out of the 1-0 defeat at Manchester City.
Albion boss Vidosic said: “Aisha has trained for the first time and has looked good.
“She will probably feature for the first time if all goes well.”
Vidosic was encouraged by much of what he saw at City after the opening 4-0 win over Everton.
He has the chance to give more game time to players such as Nikita Parris, Michelle Agyemang and Maisie Symonds who have all gone on as subs in the opening two games.
Albion impressed at City for the first 44 minutes before the hosts went ahead and then created several second-half chances.
Vidosic said: “I am probably quite proud of how far we have come on the journey, to go there and try to assert our way of playing.
“I was probably a little bit frustrated and I think the girls were too that we created some good chances in the first half.
“At times we played some really good football, everything we have been practising and trying to implement.
“To go there to face one of the best teams in the world away from home and at times make it really nervy for them.
“You could sort of sense it around the ground, it was a very tight affair.
“It was a wonderful game and one we will learn a lot from.”
Former Abion coach and interim boss Amy Merricks is in charge of a Birmingham side whose bright start to the season was interrupted by a 1-0 defeat at Durham.
The squad includes popular South Korea forward Lee Guem-min, who joined from the Seagulls recently.
Bristol City and Leicester City are also in the four-team group.
Vidosic said of Birmingham: “We played them in the first game of pre-season and it was a tough game for us.”
