Facundo Buonanotte scored a brilliant equaliser, rescuing a point for Leicester against Champions League hopefuls Nottingham Forest.
Buonanotte struck after being given the green light after going through his concussion protocols following his last appearance, in which he was substituted at half-time following a blow to his head.
The 20-year-old Argentinian was subbed on in the 61st minute with his side trailing. Buonanotte’s impact was imminent after charging down Morato’s clearance and fed Jamie Vardy, who looked set to score his 200th Leicester goal, but got crowded out in the box by a sea of red defenders.
Minutes later, Buonanotte’s threat continued as this time Vardy slipped him through, and he danced past Morato with a brilliant piece of skill before slotting it past the onrushing Matz Sels into the bottom right-hand corner.
He rescued a point in a thrilling encounter between teams at the opposite end of the table, with Leicester City already relegated. However, the spirited comeback led by Buonanotte kept some pride for the Leicester fans in the East Midlands derby.
This was his fifth Premier League goal of the season, he has also managed two assists this campaign from thirty Premier League matches this season. A shining light for the foxes this season, despite it being a disappointing season following their confirmed relegation back down to the Championship.
The prospect of European football in some form is still on the table for Albion next season following the 2-0 victory at Wolves. Fabian Hurzeler might not need to look for further players in the transfer market, following what Buonanotte has shown enough from his loan spell that he can still deliver in a struggling team.
