Clubs and fans will be spared late-night drama when the transfer window closes this summer.
The deadline is being brought forward from 11pm according to sources including The Mail and Sky Sports.
Business will instead end at 7pm on Monday, September 1.
Albion like to get their business completed without any late drama.
But that is not always possible.
For example, the deal which took Billy Gilmour from Chelsea to the Amex in the summer window of 2022 was announced at 12.15am, or 75 minutes after the window closed.
An earlier finish is designed to ensure a more normal working pattern for those involved in last-day transfers.
It is understood other leagues in Europe will implement a similar change.
Clubs can complete transfers up to two hours after deadline if a “deal sheet” - confirming that a deal for a player has been agreed – has been submitted.
Until now, that could take business past midnight - such as Gilmour's move.
The transfer window will be open from June 1 until June 10.
It will then re-open on June 16 and close on Monday, 1 September.
Albion’s first business on June 1 will see them confirm the arrival of Sunderland winger Tommy Watson in a £10 million deal for which agreement is already in place.
Watson is currently with Sunderland as they aim to return to the Premier League via the play-offs.
