Albion served up a very special night at the Amex to end their home campaign.

Our audio review looks at the 3-2 success over Liverpool, who twice led.

And the noise you might hear in the background sums up the calibre of the opposition as Reds fans chanted about being champions.

We take you through the action and, hopefully, bring some of the excitement of the occasion.

We give a few players mentions, including that Bart Verbruggen save at 2-1.

We have a look at Brajan Gruda’s impressive evening at the end of a tough season.

And we reflect on what was said behind the scenes as Fabian Hurzeler faced the media.

It was a night which brought back memories of the 3-2 win over Manchester City to close the home programme in 2021.

And the manner of the goal celebration was not unlike the Pascal Gross winner to end the home programme against Manchester United back in 218.

Jack Hinshelwood struck a late winner as Albion boosted their slender hopes of scraping Conference League qualification.

Arne Slot’s Reds were on course for success at the Amex following an eye-catching finish from Dominik Szoboszlai after Seagulls midfielder Yasin Ayari cancelled out Harvey Elliott’s early opener.

But Mohamed Salah – making his 300th Premier League appearance – missed an open goal to stretch the visitors’ lead before Kaoru Mitoma equalised and fellow Albion substitute Jack Hinshelwood pounced five minutes from time.

Liverpool have now taken only a point from three games since clinching the title on April 27, while Fabian Hurzeler’s hosts climbed to eighth – three points above Brentford – ahead of Sunday’s season finale at Tottenham.
