Tony Bloom has advised fans not to expect “a huge amount more” in the transfer window.
But he is confident Albion can do even better than eighth place next season.
The club chairman expects head coach Fabian Hurzeler and younger players to benefit from experience gained in 2024-25.
He said last term’s finish was an “excellent position” but accepted not everyone saw it that way.
Speaking to ITV Racing at Ascot, where he had Poniros in action yesterday, Bloom said: “It is testament to how well we have done recently that quite a few of our fans were disappointed.
“I think it was an excellent position but we were close to getting into Europe and doing even better.
“With our younger players a little bit older, Fabian a year in the Premier League, we are hoping for more next season.”
Bloom is unlikely to give anything away in terms of Albion’s transfer activity.
And he was never likely to say that he was looking to go and spend big or that his squad needs strengthening.
But Albion have got a lot done early this summer,
They have already brought in Charalampos Kostoulas, Diego Coppola and Tommy Watson with Olivier Boscagli set to follow, having already lined up Stefanos Tzimas to arrive in the summer.
There would appear to be outward business to do.

Fans wishes are being answered so far - so what should be next on wanted list?
But, again, Bloom is unlikely to make it clear his club are looking to sell or to put any of the often-mentioned “price tags” on his players.
He said: “We have already got slightly involved in the transfer window and I don’t think we will be doing a huge amount more between now and the end of the window.”
Poniros, a 100-1 winner at Cheltenham earlier this year, finished well down the field this time in the Ascot Stakes.
