Adam Lallana has revealed he spent some of the happiest times of his life at Albion.
The former England and Liverpool midfielder has hung up his boots after a year back at his first club Southampton.
He has posted a message of thanks to his former teams as well as fans and family.
And he had a special word for the Seagulls, where he spent four years after signing during the lockdown summer of 2020.
Lallana, 37, wrote: “Brighton… home to some of the happiest years of my life, at a club deeply connected to its community and run in such a smart, modern way.
"And England… every single cap meant the world to me. Representing my country was the greatest honour. I’m proud of the playing career I’ve had and have no regrets about any of it.”

Lallana made 104 appearances for Albion, scoring four goals, and was given a standing ovation when he went off during his final game, at home to Manchester United.
He made it clear his move back to Southampton was to be closer to his family.
But he kept the door wide open to a possible return and is known to be keen on coaching.

Ahead of his farewell, he told The Argus: “I genuinely feel I will be back here in some capacity in the future.
“Football has a funny way of going around in circles.
“That was why it was important for me to leave in the right way, no ill-feeling towards my decision.
“I think everyone has understood.”
