Albion have added a second Colombian defender to their WSL squad.
Manuela Vanegas, 24, will be joining compatriot Jorelyn Carabali in the Seagulls’ ranks for next season.
She recently left Real Sociedad, where she made 96 appearances and scored ten goals during four seasons.
Albion are reshaping their squad after a best-ever fifth-place finish and parted company with four defenders this summer.
They brought in Japan centre-back Moeka Minami and now have Vanegas on board.
Albion boss Dario Vidosic said: “It’s exciting to welcome Manuela to the squad. She’s a solid defender who is both reliable at defending and threatening moving forward.
“Her energy and creativity will be a real asset for us as we push towards our goals this season.”
Vanegas’s international career includes a dramatic 97th-minute winner against Germany at the 2023 World Cup.
She played at left-back, with Carabali as the left-sided centre-back, for Colombia at the Olympics last summer.
With Real Sociedad, Vanegas has played as the left-sided centre-back.
During her time at La Real, the club were runners-up in the top flight, the FA Cup and the Super Cup.
She began her career at Formas Intimas in Colombia before having spells at Envigado FC, Atlético Huila, Independiente Medellín and Espanyol.
