Fabian Hurzeler enjoyed Carlos Baleba’s performance as he returned from a knee injury sustained in pre-season to play the opening 69 minutes.
But he believes the 21-year-old Cameroon international can do more than we saw in the 1-1 draw with Fulham.
Asked to rate Baleba’s performance in the season opener against Fulham, Hurzeler said: “Good against the ball. I think he can be better in possession. But that’s something we have to work with him.
“We are very pleased that he is a Brighton player and that’s why he stays with us because he knows that he still has a lot of potential.

Boss delighted for O'Riley - and not just because of his penalty
“Together, we want to go with him and make with him the next step and give him the help he needs to improve as a player.”
Baleba has been of great interest to Manchester United but suggestions from the North West on Friday were that they have ended their pursuit of him - for now at least.
Instead, there were reports on Monday morning that United are now looking at Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.
Meanwhile, on-loan Albion midfielder Malick Yalcouye was pitched straight into Swansea City's starting line-up and helped them beat Sheffield United 1-0 in the Championship.,
