Albion will have “an open conversation” with Julio Enciso ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Paraguay forward is back in rehab with the Seagulls after knee surgery in South America.
Chelsea and Strasbourg owners BlueCo have been in talks with Albion over a potential move which would see Enciso look to reignite his career in Ligue Un, at least initially.
However that has not been completed as the days tick down to Monday’s deadline.
Hurzeler confirmed today that Enciso is working with the Seagulls’ medical staff at Lancing.
The head coach said: “It's not a big injury. He's back in rehab training.
“It's very important that the players know our thoughts and our plans for the future.
“We always have an open conversation with Julio and then we will see what happens in the next days.”

Enciso’s vast number of fans and media followers in Paraguay are awaiting developments.
Albion appear to have options in his preferred roles just behind the striker or on the left.
Outgoings are expected with Facundo Buonanotte, Abdallah Sima and Jeremy Sarmiento among players who were not involved at Oxford.
Lens are the latest club reported to be interested in Sima, who played in France last season with Brest.
