Evan Ferguson wants to build on his first Serie A goal after “ups and downs” in Italy.
But Roma are keeping a close eye on the ankle issue which ruled him out of recent international action.
The on-loan Albion striker spoke briefly about his tough start to life at Roma after opening his account.
His calmly taken finish in a 3-1 win at Cremonese helped take Roma top of the table and followed supportive words from head coach Gian Piero Gasperini after an ankle injury.
Ferguson said: "It was a beautiful moment, I've been waiting for it for a long time and I couldn't wait for it to arrive.
“There have been ups and downs in my season so far but now I want to build on this positive moment.
“Now is the time to continue like this."

Speaking ahead of the game, Gasperini said: “He's still a very young boy who arrives in another country, with other experiences, so he has to adapt a bit, both in the way he plays matches, in the way he trains, and in life, because he has been catapulted into another dimension.
“He hasn't fully recovered from the ankle problem, he still has a bit of pain when he kicks or hits the ball, and this limits him.
“However, he has great willpower and a great desire to do well and, certainly during the match, these small ailments are overcome."
