Julio Enciso played a major part in the goal which saw Liam Rosenior’s lively Strasbourg side beat Crystal Palace.
The former Albion forward won a free-kick which he then sent against the bar ahead of the goal which gave the French side a 2-1 win in the UEFA Conference League
Rosenior’s men came from a goal down for the points with Valentin Barco shining in midfield.
Strasbourg rode their luck at times as Palace missed two open goals with the keeper way out of position.
Enciso is looking to enjoy a good season with the Ligue Un outfit ahead of what is expected to be a switch to Chelsea, who are owned by the same BlueCo group.
Barco was seen as an attack-minded left-back in his brief stint with the Seagulls before heading to Sevilla.
Having failed to shine in LaLiga, he is now using his speed and precision on the ball in midfield for a Strasbourg side who press enthusiastically and pass the ball sharply.
After a bright opening by the hosts, Tyrick Mitchell put Palace ahead in the 35th minute at Stade de la Meinau.

But Strasbourg were level eight minutes into the second half when Emmanuel Emegha volleyed in a cross at the back post after a stunning move in whch Enciso and Barco played eye-catching roles.
Palace midfielder Adam Wharton struck the crossbar with Penders stranded before Samir El Mourabet knocked in his first senior goal with 12 minutes left after Enciso’s free-kick had come back off the woodwork.
Enciso had run at the Palace defence and forced a handball just outside the box.
Palace drop to 18th in the standings following a second defeat, while Rosenior’s unbeaten side move up into second place with ten points, behind leaders Samsunspor on goal difference.
