Albion have parted company with sporting director Jason Ayto.
Ayto took the role as part of a restructure when technical director David Weir left the club in September.
He had previously worked at Arsenal for more than a decade in a variety of technical roles.
Via a club statement, chairman Tony Bloom said: “I’d like to thank Jason for everything he has done for us, and to wish him well for the future.”
Chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber said: “Jason has been a valued team colleague on our strategic leadership group.
“I'd like to thank him for his contribution since he joined and wish him all the best going forward.”
No reasons were given for the departure.
Mike Cave, the club’s technical director, will oversee all sporting areas of the club, working with the existing senior team and reporting to Barber.
The development comes as the club prepare for the summer transfer window and was announced via a brief statement on Wednesday morning.
Albion are moving into a key transfer window as they prepare for their second European campaign.

Three experienced out-of-contract players, and senior figures within the changing room, have left the club in Solly March, Adam Webster and James Milner.
Joel Veltman is widely expected to follow that trio out of the door when his contract ends on June 30 while there are also decisions to be made on several players who were on loan last season.
A report from Germany suggests the Seagulls could allow Brajan Gruda to sign another loan at RB Leipzig, where he spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign with some success.
Some under-contract stars are likely to be of interest to other clubs, including Jan Paul van Hecke, who has just one year to run on his current deal.
Albion are clearly facing a significant summer of activity in terms of shaping their own squad and securing the right loan deals for some players.
