Rising Sussex star Henry Crocombe has secured a wild card deal in The Hundred.

But the fast bowler has not been released by England for county duty.

Crocombe misses the Rothesay County Championship clash against Hampshire at Hove, from Friday.

He was called away by England during the county’s innings win over Glamorgan last weekend after Ollie Robinson reported knee soreness.

Sussex had hoped to have him back to face Hampshire but that has not happened.

He is replaced in a 14-man squad by Dan Ibrahim.

With Robinson, Fynn Hudson-Prentice and Tom Clark all missing, Sussex’s strength in depth is being tested.

Dom Goodman came into the side against Glamorgan when Crocombe departed and bowled in the second innings.

He could get a start this time.

Crocombe has been hired by London Spirit and joins Tymal Mills and James Coles in their squad.

Danny Briggs and Brad Currie are in the Trent Rockets squad while Jofra Archer remains with Southern Brave.

Admission to day three of Sussex v Hampshire is free to all spectators to help celebrate Father’s Day.

Free tickets must be claimed online in advance via the club website.

There is a special Father's Day Carvery available for £25, which can also be booked online.
