BURGESS HILL TOWN 2 RAMSGATE 2
CHRIS Whelpdale bagged a brace, including a 90th-minute equaliser from the spot to rescue a draw against Ramsgate.
The visitors took the lead after just a minute as a cross was fumbled into his own net by Hill stopper Roco Rees.
In truth, it was a half dominated by Ramsgate and Rees more than made up for his error with at least two superb diving saves to keep the scoreline to just one.

You felt missed chances would cost the Rams and so it proved as three minutes into the second half, Charlie Lambert broke away, crossed for George Vorster whose effort was forced over the line by Whelpdale to level.
Just three minutes later, Rams were back in front as visiting captain Dave Winfield, who didn’t lose a header all day, nodded down a deep free-kick which Rowan Liburd scrambled over the line to restore the Kent team's advantage.
Burgess Hill huffed and puffed in the second half, but had to wait until added time before Harry Lawson was felled in the box and up stepped Whelpdale again, to equalise for the second time in the game, and notch his fifth of the league campaign and rescue the Hillians a point and make it seven games unbeaten for the home side.
