Fabian Hurzeler learned a lesson at Anfield - and rivals will be fearing his Albion team.
That was the verdict of former Liverpool, Aston Villa and England defender Stephen Warnock as he assessed their win at Manchester City.
Less than a week after their 2-0 defeat on Merseyside, the Seagulls shocked the Premier League leaders 1-0 at the Etihad.
Yasin Ayari, who missed a glorious early chance at Anfield, this time scored to give his side a perfect start.
Warnock told BBC TV Match Of The Day viewers: “I think a lot of teams will fear them.
“I thought they played well last week against Liverpool.
“Ayari missed that chance. If they go up in that game, I think it suits them because they do what they did against City.
“But I also think they learnt a lot of lessons against Liverpool last week because of how they played against them.
“They got countered on quite a but and I think this week he learned from that, Hurzeler, and was going to leave an extra man at the back at times.
“I really like him as a manager. I think he is very suited to the club and I love the style of play.”
Warnock believes Champions League football can now be the goal for Albion after one quarter of the season.

He said: “The aim now should be for them, can we break into that four, top five and get Champions League places?
“That is progression and a team that are very balanced.
“The clean sheets, the defensive record but they create opportunities as well.
“That’s a fine balance to right in the Premier League, where you score a lot of goals but you are also solid at the back.”
