Albion manager Micky Adams has praised the League One potential of Joe Anyinsah, as the on-loan Preston winger prepares for his Albion farewell.

Anyinsah’s 93-day stint with the Seagulls ends with tomorrow night’s home game against MK Dons. He just misses out on next Tuesday’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area semi-final at Shrewsbury, after scoring in the second round against Leyton Orient and featuring against Swindon in the quarter-finals.

Anyinsah’s other goal in 14 appearances for Albion came in the Carling Cup giantkilling of Manchester City.

Adams, pictured above right, said: “It has been quite an eventful time for him. He was sent-off in his first game (at Yeovil) but he has managed to get a couple of goals and I think he has potential to do okay at this level.

“He’s a terrific lad. He has quietly gone about his business and he has grown in confidence since he has been here."

Anyinsah's fellow loan signings, Bradley Johnson and Stuart Fleetwood, are unavailable for the Sky televised Shrewsbury clash, having already played in the competition for other clubs.

It gives those involved or on the fringes against MK Dons an extra incentive to perform well, with a trip to Wembley on the horizon.

Adams said: "Players get excited about being live on telly. It's a big cup game and I am looking for big performances on Friday to take into that Tuesday game."

Top scorer Glenn Murray is rated "touch and go" by Adams after twisting an ankle following his equaliser at Oldham on Saturday.

Murray has not trained so far this week and winger Kevin McLeod's place in the squad is in jeopardy due to an Achilles injury.
