Eastbourne Eagles record scorer David Norris is making a shock return to the Elite League.
Norris, who quit the sport little more than a year ago after suffering a series of head injuries, will complete Eagles' line-up for next season.
The 36-year-old, who is massively popular among Eagles fans, piled up 5,197 points from just 577 meetings and has been given the all-clear to return to the track.
Eagles chief Bob Dugard and team manager Trevor Geer are finalising a deal with new reserve Ricky Kling tonight.
That means Eagles will go into the new campaign with a team of Davey Watt (captain), Lewis Bridger, Cameron Woodward, Denis Gizatullin, Norris, Simon Gustafsson and Kling.
