Albion are confident Glenn Murray can make a quick return to action, despite missing out at Walsall.
The striker did not feature in the 16 after suffering soreness as he recovers from hernia surgery.
Manager Russell Slade said: “We are in control of it. He has had an injection and we are hoping that will settle it down.
“That was the top specialist advice we were given and already that seems to be paying dividends.
“We are hopeful he could even be a part of our plans at the weekend.”
Adam Virgo is now free of suspension and could feature in tonight’s Sussex Senior Cup semi-final against Horsham at Worthing (7.45pm).
Slade said: “He certainly needs a little bit of football. We will have a look at it after we train today.
“It will be nice to see him back. He is another body and I trust he is one who will roll his sleeves up.”
