Crawley's longest-serving player Dannie Bulman has left the club to join Blue Square premier rivals Oxford United.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who made 146 appearances for the club, has signed a two-year contract at the Kassam Stadium after turning down an improved offer from Crawley.

Boss Steve Evans has released defender Santos Gaia, midfielder Gavin Hurren and striker Isaiah Rankin while forwards Robbie Matthews and Jon Shaw have returned to Salisbury and Rochdale respectively after loan spells.

New terms have been offered to Glenn Wilson, Jake Wright and Sam Rents and Evans will reveal his plans for team strengthening at the end of the week.
