George Barker scored a stunning goal 13 minutes from time to seal a 2-1 win for Albion in tonight's Senior Cup third round tie at Crawley.

The teenage striker rode two challenges before firing an unstoppable 25 yard drive into the top left-hand corner.

Gary Hart had given Albion a 12th minute lead but the home side equalised three minutes later.

Hart buried a shot from ten yards seconds after Crawley keeper Nick Jordan had blocked an effort from Barker with his legs.

But Reds levelled when Danny Forrest met Thomas Pinault's corner with a powerful header and Lewis Killeen got the final touch to push it over the line.

Crawley went close to taking the lead in the 24th minute when Josh Pelling failed to hold Killeen's drive but 16-year-old Ben King was denied by a great tackle from Lewis Dunk as he tried to snap up the loose ball before Calumn Willock blazed over.

With Killeen and Forrest threatening in wide areas Crawley continued to look more likely to go in front.

Karl Broadhurst headed Forrest's free kick straight at Pelling and then Killeen wasn't far away when he let fly from 20 yards.

Forrest was denied by an excellent block by Dunk after breaking into the six-yard box a minute into the second half.

But Albion carved out a decent opening themselves when Barker and Hart combined to set up Steve Brinkhurst in space on the right but he fired past Nick Jordan's near post.

Crawley brought on Barry Cogan and Mikey Malcolm as they chased a winner and they went close when Willock directed his header straight at Pelling in the dying moments.

But it is Albion who are through to the quarter-final where they will entertain Eastbourne United.

Andrew Whing, Kevin McLeod and David Livermore all got 90 minutes for the Seagulls.
