Eastbourne are celebrating their first win of the Elite League season at the sixth attempt.
They held off rock bottom Coventry for a much-needed 50-40 success at Arlington tonight.
Eagles secured the win when Ricky Kling and Cameron Woodward team-rode to the hosts' third 5-1 of the meeting in heat 14.
A shared heat 15 was enough to secure the bonus point for a win by seven or more.
Eagles led almost the whole way, though Coventry levelled fleetingly at 21-21 after seven races with their only 5-1.
Ritchie Hawkins of Somerset guested at reserve for Eagles in place Of Dawid Lampart, who was unable to fly back from Poland.
