There will be more than just the Sussex Senior Cup up for grabs at Priory Lane this afternoon.

It will also be a battle for bragging rights between Albion reserve team boss Charlie Oatway and his son, also Charlie, who will be lining up in the Bognor midfield.

The pair have shared in some light-hearted banter in the build up to the final but once the whistle goes at 3pm any sentiment will go out of the window as both concentrate on ending the season with some silverware.

Oatway snr said: “It adds a little bit of spice but at the end of the day all I’m worried about is winning football matches.

“He has had a bit of an ankle injury so his place was in doubt but hopefully he will be okay. If he does manage to get fit though I will be making sure one of my players makes him unfit pretty quickly!

“I’ll be giving him a bit of stick from the touchline too. I don’t like losing any game of football so I definitely won’t be taking it easy on Charlie and nor will my players.”
