ADAM EL-ABD reckons referee Andy Woolmer bowed to pressure from the Hillsborough crowd.
The Albion defender is convinced Sheffield Wednesday striker Neil Mellor should have been dismissed after only eight minutes.
He also believes Chris Sedgwick should have seen red in the second half.
El-Abd ended up on the deck in his own goalmouth after being shoved by Mellor in an off-the-ball incident.
Mellor escaped with a booking but El-Abd said: “He pushed me on the chin.
“It was both hands. If you raise your hands, you should be off.
“The referee must have seen it because he booked him. It’s either nothing or a red card.
“The tackle on Marcos was over the top of the ball and was a sending-off.
“He didn't give it because he felt under pressure from their fans.
“Unfortunately it seems to be going against us.
“But, if we keep playing the way we are playing, get the rub of the green from the referee and convert the chances we are creating, we will end up battering a team.”
