Mark McGhee is ready to talk terms with the pick of Albion's foreign legion of trialists.

The Seagulls boss wants to add French leftback Zoumama Bakayoko to his squad after being impressed by him in training and two friendlies.

Bakayoko, an athletic 19-year-old released by Paris St Germain recently, played the first 45 minutes as Albion romped past local non-leaguers RC Port du Havre 11-0 in Normandy yesterday.

He has yet to be seriously tested defensively in his pre-season outings but looks quick, fit and good on the ball.

McGhee said: "I'm very happy with him. He looks a player to me.

"He's aggressive in the tackle, he's quick on the ball, he's fit, he gets up and down the left hand side and uses the ball really well.

"I'd like to explore how we could keep him.

"I need to talk to his agent and see where it goes from there."

The Albion boss was happy with a run out in which Alex Revell scored a 12-minute hat-trick and Jake Robinson, Colin Kazim-Richards and Dean Cox added two apiece on a sultry evening at Gonfreville, just outside Le Havre.

He said: "It was a training session. The opposition obviously weren't from our level but the finishing was good and the movement ahead of the ball was good.

"The enthusiasm was good as well. Everybody has enjoyed their football and it gives us another bit of fitness."

Liam Marum and Jacques Williams, the two trialists given late call-ups for the trip, completed the scoring.
