Albion boss Gus Poyet insists his side will stick to their passing style, home and away.

The Seagulls are getting accustomed to teams sitting back and playing one up front to frustrate them at Withdean.

They face a different type of test against Charlton at The Valley today but Poyet is determined it will not change the way they play.

He said: “The only game we have lost was away (at Sheffield Wednesday). In the rest we’ve been quite good. The idea is to keep playing our game.

“We play exactly the same at home as we do away.

“After that it depends how the opposition play as well but we will go there with the same mentality.”

Poyet expects Charlton to be on their guard after Albion dented their promotion challenge with a surprise 2-1 victory at The Valley last season.

He said: “It’s a great stadium, an absolutely great place to go. Last year it worked well for us, we really performed well in big stadiums.

“The only difference is the table has changed completely now. When we were down at the bottom maybe people were not expecting us to be as good as we were last year.

“Now maybe they are going to have a different kind of approach. I think they are going to put pressure on us and be very aggressive but in a fair way.”
