Crawley could be boosted by the return of their captain and top scorer for tomorrow’s potential title-clincher at Tamworth.

Pablo Mills is back in training after missing three games with a twisted ankle and 34-goal Matt Tubbs, who was left out of the side which drew 1-1 at York on Tuesday, has recovered from a sore groin.

Boss Steve Evans has pledged to freshen up his side who are playing their tenth game in a month as they chase the three points from their remaining six games that would clinch promotion to the Football League.

He expects a tough game at The Lamb, especially if Reds reproduce the lacklustre performance in the first half at York.

Evans said: “The boys knew at half-time on Tuesday, as much as I was ranting and raving at them, that they were a couple of yards off the pace.

“In the second half we dominated and were unfortunate not to take the win.

“We can’t afford not to be at it from the start tomorrow. I have worked with some of the Tamworth players and they are going to give it everything they have.

“We know what is at stake. We can smell the champagne but we can’t taste it yet. There is a lot of work to do and until I see the letter ‘c’ next to our name which shows we are champions we are not going to let up.”
