Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman tonight denied his side had signed free agent Glenn Murray.

Freedman has admitted he wants Murray, who is leaving Albion, but insists it is not a done deal.

He said: “Glenn Murray is a very good player. I’ve seen him six times this year.

“We are in the mix of signing him but it’s by no means over the line.”

He added: "Over the last two weeks I have been trying to meet with certain agents and talk to the Board about certain signings.

"We are far down the line with one or two."
