Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey scored in a shoot out as England under-17s beat Argentina 4-2 on penalties last night to reach the quarter-finals of their World Cup.
England came from a goal down in a 1-1 draw, equalising just before half-time with an angled low shot from lively Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.
Forster-Caskey played the full game in torrential rain in Pachuca and saw plenty of the ball in the second half, playing some neat passes.
The 17-year-old, whose stepdad Nicky Forster used to take penalties for the Seagulls, then calmly put England 3-2 up in the shoot out as the keeper went the right way.
England, who arguably deserved to win in the 90 minutes, face Germany in the last eight.
