Albion want to establish The Amex as an international venue after landing the chance to play host to some of England’s hottest young prospects.

The Seagulls’ new stadium has been selected to stage an under-19s friendly between England and Denmark on Thursday November 10 (7.30pm).

The match, four days after Barnsley’s visit in the Championship, gives Albion an opportunity to showcase The Amex as a suitable venue for other England age groups in the future.

Ken Brown, Albion’s managing director, told The Argus: “It really shows the regard The Amex has in the football world.

“We’ve not been slow to show people around, including the Football League, FA and PFA. All of them have been blown away by it.

“We are delighted to be hosting an international game so early. It is not the only one we are expecting to host before the end of the season.”
