Steve Cook has been recalled by Albion from his loan spell at Bournemouth to ease a defensive crisis for Monday's visit of Southampton.
Lewis Dunk added to the Seagulls long list of injuries and suspensions with his tenth booking at Coventry today, which means a two-match ban for the young centre half.
Boss Gus Poyet confirmed to The Argus: "After what happened today we are going to recall him."
Cook is still expected to join Bournemouth permanently in January for £170,000. Poyet admitted: "It's a possibility."
Alan Navarro's absence on Monday after his fifth caution at Coventry is compensated by Liam Bridcutt's return from the same punishment but Craig Noone (hamstring) has joined the crippling casualty list.
