Sussex swimmer Gemma Spofforth is through to the final of the 100 metres backstroke in the London Olympics tomorrow night.
The Shoreham-born world record holder finished third in her semi-final in a season's best time of 59.70 seconds at the Aquatics Centre tonight.
It was good enough for Spofforth to qualify sixth fastest and a huge improvement on a disappointing time and fourth place in her morning heat.
