Former Albion skipper Gordon Greer has signed a one-year deal with their Championship rivals Blackburn.
Greer, who was let go by the Seagulls at the end of last season, has impressed during a trial stint.
He returns to a club he served – albeit briefly, making just one appearance - when he first left Scotland and against whom he netted for Albion in a 3-3 draw in the 2013-14 season.
Greer had six years as Albion captain, making 234 appearances.
He will have to wait to face his old club. The Seagulls go to Ewood Park for a midweek game on December 13 and the return fixture at the Amex is not until April 1.
Greer also had a trial with Bolton before signing for Rovers boss Owen Coyle.
