Albion are relishing the challenge of another test against one of the 'Big Six' in the Premier League.
They will be trying to cause a huge upset against champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day (3pm).
Their record against the other Big Six sides is five defeats out of five, 12 goals conceded and one scored, including a 5-1 hammering at home to Liverpool.
Manager Chris Hughton said: "We go to Chelsea knowing in most people's minds it is very difficult to get a result. There aren't too many that will expect that but that's the challenges and for this club and the players we have they are the challenges they've been looking foward to the most.
"Apart from Liverpool, we have been able to at least be in the big games. You know you are going to give away a huge bulk of possession, it is what it is, but these are the challenges that everybody is looking forward to."
Loan signing Izzy Brown is ineligible for the clash against his parent club.
