Bournemouth forward Josh King has been ruled out of his side’s trip to the Amex.

King suffered a hamstring problem during the dramatic 2-1 win over Everton yesterday.

He joins fellow attacker Jermain Defoe on the injured list as the Cherries prepare to visit Albion tomorrow.

But Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was pleased with his team’s efforts after the important King went off.

Howe said: "You're looking at least a few weeks. It may change our transfer policy.

“We have had to make changes again but the team performance was still there and it didn’t affect us.”

Howe believes at least two of his players will need checking before their places against the Seagulls are confirmed.

He added: “We’ll assess the likes of Adam Smith and Nathan Ake, who were feeling tight at the end.”
